PERCUPADS presents its first show, (Mania Percutòria) in October 2009. His artistic proposal focuses on drums and percussion in electronic percussion itinerant street. We can almost say that PERCUPADS is the first proposal for roving electronic music that is created for that purpose.
Tap with "pads" (apparently electronic mills plastic virtually mimic natural sounds of percussion instruments and can invent new sounds) and pace the heart of the city. That is the main objective of PERCUPADS. To achieve this we work with electronic machines and play with new technologies for music.
The repertoire is broad and diverse. In PERCUPADS think the music with digital tools is not only one way is popularly know as dance music, machinery or drive. PERCUPADS digital music is universal. Is an artistic evolution that walks hand in hand with humans.
PERCUPADS digital music is progressive, don’t stop to form. They are looking for, like any artistic expression, a way of telling contemporary conflicts. The digital music is virtually authentic and PERCUPADS mix old and new styles.

SYNOPSIS
MANIA PERCUTORIA is a travelling musical show which features a blend of both acoustic and electronic street percussion as its main driving force. All the music was written especially for the show and draws on popular culture as its main source of inspiration. This allows us to create a show that is full of energy, with powerful rhythms that cover a range of styles from festive and Brazilian music to techno, for example.
Rhythm in movement, drums and electric drum pads blend to create an explosion of energy-filled sound that is called MANIA PERCUTORIA.
By adding electronic percussion to our repertoire, with the help of an autonomous sound system, we seek to go a step further in the world of percussion groups and offer a show that is different, innovative and of course risky.
In MANIA PERCUTORIA we take advantage of the dramatic possibilities offered by theatre in order to create a festive batucada in which the characters – a mixture of electropixies and cyberpunks – fill the streets with colour and rhythm wherever they go.
The company consists of 6 musicians, along with a central element in the shape of a mechanical spider that carries the sound system as well as the acoustic and electronic instruments.
